GAITHERSBURG – This past weekend Congressman John K. Delaney bicycled with supporters along the C & O Canal from Williamsport to White’s Ferry, covering more than 65 miles across Washington, Frederick and Montgomery County. Along the way, Delaney hosted campaign barbeques in Sharpsburg and Brunswick. Hundreds of Marylanders attended one of the Delaney cookouts or joined John for a portion of his ride.
“My legs are a little sore after two days cycling, but I couldn’t be more excited about the energy behind our campaign,” said Congressman Delaney. “We’re working hard for every vote and talking to Marylanders face to face about rebuilding our infrastructure, improving services for veterans and finding bipartisan solutions to create jobs and protect Social Security. I’d like to thank everyone who joined us, two days on the C&O Canal with small town cookouts in Sharpsburg and Brunswick is truly a wonderful version of a ‘campaign trail’.”
